Sometimes, the activities of the Responsible Media Forum develop into a spin-off project that takes on a life of its own. A recent example is DIMPACT, a collaborative project convened by Carnstone, with world-class researchers from the University of Bristol and leading media companies. DIMPACT takes the complexity out of calculating the carbon emissions of the downstream value chain of digital media content through an online calculator. It is available to any company delivering digital media content as a subscription-based model.
DIMPACT closely consulted with the Carbon Trust on their white paper examining the carbon impact of online video streaming. You can read more in the resources section of the DIMPACT site.
